Skill Assessment

You may be required to have your skills assessed for certain skilled migration visas. It is required to provide evidence that your skills have been assessed as suitable for migration purpose for you nominated occupation by the relevant assessing authority as outlined by the Department of Home Affairs.

 

There are basically 2 types of skills assessments.

Full Skills Assessment – This skills assessment is required for skilled migration visas like employer sponsored visa or point tested visa.

 

Provisional Skills Assessment – This skills assessment is suitable for recent graduates from Australian institutions intending to apply for Temporary Graduate visa subclass 485.

 

Skills assessing authority will assesses your Qualification (Australian or Overseas), English proficiency and if applicable employment history and work experience to determine if you meet the required criteria for positive skills assessment.
